PETER CRAIG CREATES FOUR SHORT FILMS FOR
CONVERSE CURRENTLY AIRING NATIONALLY

Quincy, IL (November 23, 2004)…Local filmmaker, Peter Craig, snags his second and third national film contest wins, with four 24 second films for Converse. The films, a part of the “Converse Gallery” campaign, are currently running as commercial spots on MTV.

“Converse Gallery” is a campaign by Converse where they ask filmmakers to submit a 24 second short film inspired by their shoes. Filmmakers submit their films, and, if selected by Converse to air nationally and be a part of the campaign, the filmmakers win $10,000. By having three shorts selected, Peter won $30,000. Converse also selected an additional short for internet exhibition. In 2002, he won $25,000 for a national commercial contest for Travelocity.

His four films, entitled “Gary Gets Air," “Ninja,” "Sunset," and "Journey" started airing November 2004. They are also featured on Converse’s website at www.conversegallery.com.

Peter Craig is the co-owner of Spaceman X, a production company located in Quincy. “I’m really just excited to have been invited to submit something,” Peter says. “Winning money is a nice bonus.”

In February, Peter finished his most recent indie project, “The Climactic Death of Dark Ninja”, which has been seen at over thirty film festivals across the country. He is currently writing his first feature film and making more shorts.
